The latest cosmetic surgery trend of 2018 is the belly button surgery to make the belly button more aesthetically pleasing.
Darren Smith, a plastic surgeon working in New York City, says he’s seen a significant increase in the number of patients wanting belly button surgery. The reasons people get belly button surgery (umbilicoplasty) varies. Some people want to change their outie belly button to an innie, some want to tighten a belly button that’s been stretched during pregnancy, and some do it to get rid of excess skin following weight loss.
Whether for medical reasons or for vanity, a lot of women are now going under the knife to have a belly button that they consider more attractive.
