TOP Nigeria Music Videos That Should Be Should Be Played Constant

As we approach the end of 2016, it’s pretty much the time when we start looking back on the year we’ve just witnessed and assess the positives and negatives. Typically, you get to see all the major highlights, big songs and what have you. But not often do the unknowns get any real attention. That’s changing now. Here on LV TV, we’re taking the opportunity to kickstart a series called “TOP Nigeria Music Videos That Should Be Should Be Played Constant“.

In this category, we’ll feature videos from up & coming acts whose talents are quite evident, and have put out lovely videos but aren’t getting the airplay they deserve. Don’t expect to see the likes of Olamide, Wizkid, Davido, Yemi Alade, Tiwa Savage etc in this section. Also, if your video has clocked 500,000+ views on YouTube at the time of posting this, you don’t need to be in this section either. You don already blow. 😉

To kickstart this special feature, I’ve picked out 10 videos for songs I personally love. My picks range from dope kpangolo music to amazing ballads. It’s got it all.

Ric Hassani – Gentleman

Rich Hassani finally found his sound, and we’re loving it! This video should be an anthem for the fight against domestic violence/abuse in our society.

Hey beautiful, if you find yourself in this position, you – yes, YOU – deserve a Gentleman.

Akas – Alaye

Dude isn’t new to the game, but he’s been quiet in recent years. “Erekere” is still one of my favorite “Afro Fusion” songs in the last 5 years. Great comeback tune, if you ask me.

Jinmi Abduls – Tinuke Eko

We may just be staring at (and listening to) a future star in the Alternative/Indigenous market. Keep an eye on Jinmi Abduls.

MoeLogo – My City

Some may see it as a bit insulting to call MoeLogo an “up & coming artist”. After all, he’s got a MOBO Award nomination to his name. I still feel Naija is criminally sleeping on this guy. His “Ireti” EP is arguably the best body of work released this year.

Morell – Aure

The King of the North, maybe? Morell does it all. Singing, rapping, you name it. “Aure” is a modern-day wedding classic! The mainstream Naija market is snoozing on dude.

Morientez – One More Night

Big future ahead for this new R&B act. I’m keeping close tabs.

Tjan – Aduke

Hot favorite for Wedding Song of the Year. Might be a tad harsh having him in this category, considering how well this song has done, and is still doing. But you gotta admit Tjan still has a lot of ground to cover to be considered elite. He’s firmly on the right track though.

JiLEX Anderson – Afro Lover

“Morenike you’re very fine. Love the way your hair fine. We should find space make we kill time.”

All Morenikes in this world absolutely “Afro Lover”, and there’s living proof in the Lovablevibes Team! Let’s hope JiLEX‘s “Super Cool Cats” affiliation takes him to the promise land. He’s certainly one to watch.

Nedro – Duro Nor

The Kpangolo entry for today is Nedro‘s “Duro Nor“! The video is visually appealing (peep the babes and the vintage feel 😉 ), and the joint itself isn’t half bad. This takes one back to the Klever Jay “Street-Hop” days where Kpangolo music and Romance merged beautifully (think “Koni Koni Love“).

Don’t sleep on Romantic-Kpangolo music, guys!

Ranti – Iwe Kiko

You know I really love a song when its audio appears on my “10 Nigerian Songs I Can’t Stop Listening To” list and the video makes it on my “TOP Nigeria Music Videos That Should Be Should Be Played Constant” list. “Iwe Kiko” is timeless.

Hope you guys have enjoyed my selection. If there are other videos you’d like to see in the next edition of “TOP Nigeria Music Videos That Should Be Should Be Played Constant” here on Lovablevibes.com, please recommend them in the comments section. 🙂
